The fifth European Short Sea Conference will elaborate on the challenges that face short sea shipping in a changing economical, political and legal environment. Key topics include the reduction of administrative burdens in short sea, realizing a modal shift and co-modality, an overview of current trends and market evolutions, and short sea and ecology.

This year's edition of the Short Sea Conference takes place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, a versatile, innovative convention centre inaugurated in 2006 and backed by over 72 years' experience as Bilbao's trade fair institution.
BEC CONVENTIONS is located in the greater Bilbao area, in the capital of Bizkaia (Basque Country) in northern Spain. It is an internationally renowned city thanks to its urban transformation and excellent hotels, shopping and leisure opportunities.
The Convention Centre is located about 20 km from Loiu international airport and a mere 10 minutes away from Bilbao city centre. |
